Every case can be different, some require fretboard removal whilst some just require fret removal and re-straightening. Contact me to arrange a visit so that I can assess the damage and give you a recommendation of the appropriate repair and how much it will cost.
I only recommend a refinish of vintage or high end instruments if the finish is making the instrument unplayable. Please be aware that I only refinish in Nitrocellulose. If you have a polyurethane or polyester finish then a complete removal of that finish will be required. A nitrocellulose finish will make your guitar feel and sound better. I believe that it improves the natural sustain of the wood.
